Alternate Ending is a moment of divergence, a means of changing the narrative after spending a lot of time deep in composition mode during 2022. Recorded almost all in one take, the piece is an analogue synth meditation that developed from a new patching configuration set up after a month of shows doing vastly different music, with the intention to invite a more organic feel, and a sense of spontaneity into the music making process, and the music itself.

Justin Ashworth is a Naarm based musician and sound artist who works with synthesisers and other electronics, making music that ranges from ambient soundscapes to experimental noise. His interest is in improvised and aleatoric structures, long form exploratory works, and generative and minimalist processes. He has released multiple albums of conflicting sonic content and continues to not give a damn about having a consistent genre.
Justin also runs the exquisite corpse sound project Little Songs of the Mutilated, and played in the experimental pop group Glasfrosch.
